Product Description

  • SUREBUILD is a premium multi-purpose cement that has been engineered to achieve consistent and appropriate performance in a wide range of products and applications.
  • It is ideal for concrete, general building and civil works.

Applications

Typical applications are concrete, mortar, plaster, masonry products, paving, precast products, grouts, shotcrete, soil stabilization and other general home and DIY applications.

SUREBUILD is a tried and tested product that has been engineered to achieve consistent and appropriate performance. SUREBUILD is compatible with commercial chemical admixtures.

Specifications

SUREBUILD conforms to the 42,5 N strength class of SANS 50197-1 for common cement and, depending on source factory, is identified as one of:

  • CEM II/A 42.5 N
  • CEM II/B 42.5 N

“CEM II/A” denotes portland composite cement with an extender content between 6 and 20%

“CEM II/B” denotes portland composite cement with an extender content between 20 and 35%

“CEM III/A” denotes blast furnace cement with a blast furnace slag content between 35 and 65%

Extenders used in the manufacture of SUREBUILD include limestone (denoted “L”), fly ash (denoted “V”), and blast furnace slag (denoted “S”). Blends of two or more of the above extenders are denoted “M”.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?

If we have the item in stock you will receive your order within 2-3 business days. For backorders, we endeavour to have the order in your hands within 1 week, although this time frame may be shorter/longer depending on the item’s origin. This will all be communicated but if you need an accurate delivery date it’s best to contact us beforehand to ensure you are not disappointed. Courier orders may have a lead time of 3-4 days

Why Does It Say “No Shipping Available” At Checkout?

There are a few potential reasons for this:

  1. You filled in your postal/zip code incorrectly.
  2. Your shipping address is unfortunately situated outside of our free delivery zone. Please do not proceed with payment.
  3. If you are based In Hout Bay and say “No Shipping Available”, please Fill in 7872 instead of 7806
  4. If you are based outside of our free delivery zone say “No Shipping Available”(Courier orders). please note Gas/Construction/Compost/Kamado Jan/Braais/Pool sand or salt/Wheelbarrows/Firewood & Charcoal and Kwikot Geysers/dangerous goods/hazardous goods (e.g. aerosol cans, flammable items, toxic, gases, etc.) paint and liquids cannot be delivered. Or unfortunately, the weight has been exceeded. NB: Orders that exceed over 75kg will not be shipped,  Thank you.

How Often Are Online Stock Levels Updated?

At least twice a week. Unlike many online stores, Jack Hammer’s is ultimately two functioning hardware stores and therefore stock levels are changing every day. We do our best to give an accurate representation of live stock levels.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Credit/cheque cards, instant EFT and Masterpass are all processed instantly through PayFast. We also accept Direct Bank Transfers but will only deliver products once this payment reflects in our account.

Is Buying On-Line Safe?

If you select PayFast as your preferred method of payment you will automatically be directed to their extremely secure server and the transaction takes place there. If you are uncertain please see their Security and Fraud Prevention page.

Orders and Returns

How Do I Place An Order?

Simply add your selected products to your Shopping Cart and once you’re finished shopping proceed to Checkout. At the checkout you must select your preferred method of payment and once completed, you will receive an email confirming your order.

Do I Need An Account To Place An Order?

No. You may place an order as a guest. We do recommend creating an Account to make the checkout easier as it will autofill your address and keep track of your past orders. We will not spam you with any annoying newsletters.

Since we operate two separate shops it becomes tricky to know which branch to contact.
