Spax Decking Screw 5×40 Per Box (200)
Description
The typical SPAX T-STAR plus drive is a so-called hexalobular internal. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus and ensures optimal positioning for the T-STAR plus bits in the screw head. By enabling maximum force transmission from the screwdriver to the screw, T-STAR plus guarantees simple and ultra-fast work with much more efficiency than with other drives.
The fixing thread consists of a main thread, which inserts into the substructure, and another thread below the head. This thread below the head ensures that the board remains securely in place on the substructure in all weather conditions. The smooth shank between the thread parts absorbs the movements of the board. No more re-fastening wooden boards that have become loose or creak too much!
The CUT point on our SPAX screws enables the ultra-fast and effective insertion of our wood screws without pre-drilling. In combination with the serrations, the arrow-shaped CUT point reduces wood splitting and tearing. The CUT point also enables extremely precise and sturdy setting of the screw tip on smooth surfaces.
With our stainless-steel screws, the abbreviation A2 refers to the alloy of the steel. Screws made of stainless steel A2 offer a high level of protection against corrosion and medium strength. However, they have low resistance to saltwater and acids. They are therefore used in outdoor applications in non-coastal areas.
