Description

Restore stripped threads easily and permanently with Tork Craft thread repair kits. Tork Craft application-specific thread repair kits make complex repairs simple and are often a recommended solution by automakers.

Tork Craft inserts are available in thread repair kits and sets for permanently repairing tapped holes that have been stripped or damaged due to wear, corrosion, and over-torquing. Kits are offered in various thread series. All our kits have a number of inserts, the proper size drill, high-speed steel Tork Craft tap, and an installation tool.

Available in M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12. Replacement inserts are also offered for the whole range in different lengths.

Applications:

Thread repair kits are versatile kits designed to repair stripped or damaged internal threads in various sizes that have been damaged by over torque, wear and corrosion. They include a collection of tools including a drill, tap, inserts, mandrels and more, ensuring you have all the required tools ready.

Each kit includes a variety of high-quality tools designed to assist with the task of repairing threads. Each kit includes:

  • Drills and taps made from HSS (high-speed steel)
  • Installation mandrel
  • Tang break-off tool
  • Thread inserts

How to use:

  • Determine the thread size
  • Select the correct kit for thread repair
  • Use supplied drill bit and drill out the damaged threaded hole
  • Tap (thread) the hole with the supplied tap
  • Use the insert installation tool and screw the insert into the thread
  • Use the supplied punch and break the insert pin using a hammer.
  • Install the bolt – DONE

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?

If we have the item in stock you will receive your order within 2-3 business days. For backorders, we endeavour to have the order in your hands within 1 week, although this time frame may be shorter/longer depending on the item’s origin. This will all be communicated but if you need an accurate delivery date it’s best to contact us beforehand to ensure you are not disappointed. Courier orders may have a lead time of 3-4 days

Why Does It Say “No Shipping Available” At Checkout?

There are a few potential reasons for this:

  1. You filled in your postal/zip code incorrectly.
  2. Your shipping address is unfortunately situated outside of our free delivery zone. Please do not proceed with payment.
  3. If you are based In Hout Bay and say “No Shipping Available”, please Fill in 7872 instead of 7806
  4. If you are based outside of our free delivery zone say “No Shipping Available”(Courier orders). please note Gas/Construction/Compost/Kamado Jan/Braais/Pool sand or salt/Wheelbarrows/Firewood & Charcoal and Kwikot Geysers/dangerous goods/hazardous goods (e.g. aerosol cans, flammable items, toxic, gases, etc.) paint and liquids cannot be delivered. How Often Are Online Stock Levels Updated?

At least twice a week. Unlike many online stores, Jack Hammer’s is ultimately two functioning hardware stores and therefore stock levels are changing every day. We do our best to give an accurate representation of live stock levels.

Payment Information

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Credit/cheque cards, instant EFT and Masterpass are all processed instantly through PayFast. We also accept Direct Bank Transfers but will only deliver products once this payment reflects in our account.

Is Buying On-Line Safe?

If you select PayFast as your preferred method of payment you will automatically be directed to their extremely secure server and the transaction takes place there. If you are uncertain please see their Security and Fraud Prevention page.

Orders and Returns

How Do I Place An Order?

Simply add your selected products to your Shopping Cart and once you’re finished shopping proceed to Checkout. At the checkout you must select your preferred method of payment and once completed, you will receive an email confirming your order.

Do I Need An Account To Place An Order?

No. You may place an order as a guest. We do recommend creating an Account to make the checkout easier as it will autofill your address and keep track of your past orders. We will not spam you with any annoying newsletters.

Since we operate two separate shops it becomes tricky to know which branch to contact.
