Do You Ship Nationally if im not based within highlighted areas?
- Yes, we use a courier service, the Courier guy. NB: Gas/Construction/Compost/Kamado Jan/Braais/Pool sand or salt/Wheelbarrows/Firewood & Charcoal and Kwikot Geysers cannot be couriered
What are the Courier delivery Fees?
Weight Is Calculated Automatically At Checkout
- 1-5kg – R90 (Economy Road) (ECO)
- 6-10-R150 (Economy Road) (ECO)
- 11-25kg-R200 (Economy Road) (ECO)
Orders that exceed over 25kg will not be shipped
How Long Will It Take To Get My Package if it’s being shipped nationally?
Please allow for 4-5 business days once the package gets dispatched from our store
How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?
- If we have the item in stock you will receive your order within 2-3 business days. For backorders, we endeavour to have the order in your hands within 1 week, although this time frame may be shorter/longer depending on the item’s origin. This will all be communicated but if you need an accurate delivery date it’s best to contact us beforehand to ensure you are not disappointed. Courier orders may have a lead time of 3-4 days
How Often Are Online Stock Levels Updated?
- At least twice a week. Unlike many online stores, Jack Hammer’s is ultimately two functioning hardware stores and therefore stock levels are changing every day. We do our best to give an accurate representation of live stock levels.
Why Does It Say “No Shipping Available” At Checkout?
There are a few potential reasons for this:
- You filled in your postal/zip code incorrectly. Delivery only takes place in highlighted areas.
8040, 8005, 8001, 8051, 8060, 7925, 8000,7872 (Houtbay/Llandudno) - If you are based In Hout Bay and say “No Shipping Available”, please Fill in 7872.
- If you are based outside of our delivery zone say “No Shipping Available”(Courier orders). please note Gas/Construction/Compost/Kamado Jan/Braais/Pool sand or salt/Wheelbarrows/Firewood & Charcoal and Kwikot Geysers/dangerous goods/hazardous goods (e.g. aerosol cans, flammable items, toxic, gases, etc.) paint and liquids cannot be delivered. Or unfortunately, the weight has been exceeded. NB: Orders that exceed over 25kg will not be shipped, Thank you.
Payment Information
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
Credit/cheque cards, instant EFT and Masterpass are all processed instantly through PayFast. We also accept Direct Bank Transfers but will only deliver products once this payment reflects in our account.
Is Buying On-Line Safe?
If you select PayFast as your preferred method of payment you will automatically be directed to their extremely secure server and the transaction takes place there. If you are uncertain please see their Security and Fraud Prevention page.

How Do I Place An Order?
Simply add your selected products to your Shopping Cart and once you’re finished shopping proceed to Checkout. At checkout you must select your preferred method of payment and once completed, you will receive an email confirming your order.
Do I Need An Account To Place An Order?
No. You may place an order as a guest. We do recommend creating an Account to make the checkout easier as it will autofill your address and keep track of your past orders. We will not spam you with any annoying newsletters.
Who Should I Contact If I Have Any Queries?
Since we operate two separate shops it becomes tricky to know which branch to contact. For general queries please email online@jackhammers.co.za.
